About Niche Food Group

Niche Food Group is based in St. Louis, Missouri and owned by James Beard Award-winning (Best Chef: Midwest), Gerard Craft. With over 300 employees across five restaurants in the Gateway City, and one restaurant in our sister to the south, Nashville, Tennessee, the group was named one of St. Louis Post-Dispatch’s Top Work Places in 2017.

After opening Niche in 2005, Chef Craft has extended his award-winning restaurant group to include Taste by Niche, a modern speakeasy, Brasserie by Niche, a classic French bistro, his approachable Italian concept, Pastaria and his first fast-casual concept, Porano Pasta in downtown St. Louis. In the fall of 2016 we transformed the former Niche space into our newest concept, Sardella. Craft's next venture was expanding the Pastaria concept beyond the St. Louis region to Nashville, Tennessee, which opened in September of 2017.
